Administratively located in Central Bosnia, the town is only 30 km from Sarajevo. Surrounded by centuries-old forests, shady mountain slopes, and fresh streams, Kreševo looks like a fairytale scene.

On the outskirts of Kreševo stands the Franciscan Monastery of St. Catherine, founded in the early 16th century (around 1521–1524). Mining Traditions in Kreševo
Kreševo’s mining heritage dates back to the Middle Ages, when silver, copper, and iron were extracted from the surrounding hills.
